Who is CHILDREN?
The children’s aid organization Children for a better World e.V. was founded in
1994 by Dr. Florian Langenscheidt with 30 engaged individuals from a diverse spectrum of professional fields.
So far, the non-profit organization has collected more than 20 million Euros in donations and supported
countless projects for children without Home or Hope.
The organization supports projects both within and outside Germany that address and improve the living conditions
and situations of children in desperate need and enable them to take responsibility for their lives. For example,
through actions such as „Hunger in Germany“,
CHILDREN finances warm lunches at social housing projects for disadvantaged
children throughout Germany.
Another focus is to strengthen the public spirit of children and adolescents. Through the
Children’s Council program, they are invited
to play a critical role in the decision making process surrounding the appropriation of aid. The initiative
JUGEND HILFT! supports the social engagement of
children and adolescents under the patronage of Eva Luise Köhler.
CHILDREN has been supported since 2003, by an assembly of prominent and engaged leaders.
