More than 50 years record-breaking, colorful, inspiring: That and so much more defines the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. Along the course, the capital is transformed into a gigantic party mile. It is THE sporting highlight for running enthusiasts.
Running and doing good at the same time: As the official charity partner of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, we are delighted to offer 100 charity race entries in support of our children's aid organization Children for a better World! With a contribution of 1,400 € (205 € participation fee and 1.195 € minimum donation) you can secure one of the popular spots in the RUN FOR CHILDREN Team.
With this activity, we aim to strengthen several hundred children and adolescents in Berlin growing up in poverty by supporting them in confidently shaping their lives and by empowering them to break out of the cycle of poverty. As BMW BERLIN-MARATHON completely waives any fees, your donation will benefit 100% poor children in Berlin.
RUN FOR CHILDREN stands for the joint charity engagement of the children's aid organisation Children for a better World and the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON in collaboration with marathon legend Uta Pippig and the Take The Magic Step Foundation™.

What will your donation be used for?
Five partner organisations of Children for a Better World in hotspot neighbourhoods are supported: Kreuzberger Musikalische Aktion, Drugstop KARUNA, Stadtvilla Global, MädchenSportZentrum Kreafithaus und Wildhüterweg.

If all 100 places are allocated, 50,000 meals and more than 50 discovery activities can be realised, thus sustainably strengthening several hundred poor children in Berlin.

Children for a better World: Fighting child poverty in Germany for 30 years
In Germany, 2.8 million children grow up in poverty – almost every fifth child. For 30 years we have been fighting the consequences of child poverty and supporting over 4,600 children at 77 locations across Germany with our CHILDREN lunch table and the CHILDREN discoverer activities – day by day. 4 of the 77 locations are in Berlin.
