More than 50 years record-breaking, colorful, inspiring: That and so much more defines the GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON. Along the course, the capital is transformed into a gigantic party mile. It is THE sporting highlight for running enthusiasts.

Running and doing good at the same time: As the official charity partner of the GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON, we are delighted to offer 100 charity race entries in support of our children's aid organization Children for a better World!

With this activity, we aim to strengthen several hundred children and adolescents in Berlin growing up in poverty by supporting them in confidently shaping their lives and by empowering them to break out of the cycle of poverty. As GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON completely waives any fees, your donation will benefit 100% poor children in Berlin. As a result, we have raised a total of more than 500,000 euros in donations over the past few years.

RUN FOR CHILDREN stands for the joint charity engagement of the children's aid organisation Children for a better World and the GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON in collaboration with marathon legend Uta Pippig and the Take The Magic Step Foundation™.

Marathon legend Uta Pippig, race director Marc Milde, TV journalist and athlete Florian Weiss, and CHILDREN CEO Cornelius Nohl share the magic of this race - and how your participation empowers children and young people in Berlin who are growing up under the most difficult circumstances.

Children for a better World: Fighting child poverty in Germany for more than 30 years

In Germany, 2.9 million children grow up in poverty – every fifth child. For more than 30 years we have been fighting the consequences of child poverty and supporting over 5.000 children at 88 locations across Germany with our CHILDREN lunch tables and the CHILDREN discoverer activities – day by day. 5 of the 88 locations are in Berlin.
